David Bellamy Gold Award and 5 in 5 Hedgerows badge

We are delighted to announce that Professor Bellamy has once again awarded our Park the Gold accolade and we continue to be an official “Honey Bee Friendly” park.

David Bellamy Award Scheme was placing a special focus on hedgerows this year. We have some wonderful, wildlife-friendly hedges on our park and by using Google Earth we managed to measure 7.5km of hedging on our park, excluding hedges in between the holiday homes and touring pitches.

As a result, David Bellamy has awarded us 5 in 5 Hedgerows badge which we are very proud of.  Hedges bring beauty to your garden, provide extra privacy and act like a magnet to a wide variety of wildlife – did you know that 130 priority species are associated with hedgerows?
