From the start of the summer in early June, there is so much going on in the local area, you would be mad not to make the most of what Mersea Island and nearby Colchester have to offer by making a break of it at Waldegraves. Why not treat dad to a weekend away for Fathers’ Day in June and book in for a Sunday Lunch at The Granary Restaurant.

In July, School is out for Summer marking the start of 6 whole weeks of fun. Spend the day splashing about in our outdoor swimming pool, kids club, family fun days and much more.

Make use of our boat slipway with your boat or jetski. Launch from our safe beach for hours of fun in the water at high tide.

Our Mersea Island holiday park is only a short distance from the busy town of Colchester, which is just 9 miles away. Here you can find an almost endless supply of amenities from shops, bars and restaurants to great family attractions, including Colchester Zoo and Colchester Castle. The town is also home to First Site, a contemporary art gallery, and Beth Chatto Gardens is also nearby. Nearby there are so many other places and attractions worth a visit, from Fingrinhoe Wick nature and Layer Marney Tower to the busy seaside resorts of Southend and Clacton.
