Waldegraves Firework Display 4th November 2017

We will be holding our free annual fireworks display on November the 4th, when the spectacular event will light up the sky over West Mersea.
This annual event will feature live music from Back To The 80’s Party Band who are the ultimate live music tribute to the decade of big hair, shoulder pads and Live Aid. The show is vibrant, colourful, with costume changes and has a huge element of audience participation. A fully synchronized light show can also be added to help create that ‘Top Of The Pops’ ambience.

And if that wasn’t enough,  Mersea Local Band Bizzy Lizzy Blues will be playing in The Wheatsheaf later in the evening. It’s going to be a great night so come and join the party!

The night will also feature an action-packed evening with live entertainment from 5pm, bouncy castles and children’s rides from Island Inflatables.

Gates are open from 5pm and the main display starts at 7.30pm.

There will also be a delicious hog roast, side stalls, licensed sparklers, bar with hot and cold drinks.

We received brilliant feedback about last year’s event, although an issue of concern was raised in regards to the problems involving parking, with this in mind there will be a charge of £5 per car this year. The monies raised will go to the local charities and help us to raise even more money than previous years. This will hopefully encourage everyone to walk to the event or share a car with family and friends, meaning traffic congestion will be reduced. We would also like to politely ask people not to park in the streets around the park, as this also causes congestion.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the free firework display, we look forward to welcoming you all!

*Parking is limited, arrive early to avoid disappointment.

**Please don’t bring your own sparklers and fireworks to the event.

*** Please note: there will be no bonfire or separate children’s display.
