An update from Waldegraves Management in respect to COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic

Coronavirus Update

19th July 2021

Despite further relaxation to the Governments rules in relation to covid, our Health and Safety responsibilities to our staff, customers and others visiting the park remain essential.

As of Monday 19th July 2021, we would like to encourage you to still use the hand sanitising stations that have been placed around the park and to wear a face-covering when entering all indoor facilities including Reception.

Holiday Homes – Platinum Holiday homes will be available to check-in from 3pm and gold from 4pm. Please proceed to Reception on your arrival to collect your check-in pack. All our holiday homes will have been fogged with Covid-19 approved chemicals, freshly laundered bedding is provided in sealed packs, and towels are provided in our platinum holiday homes. Towels are available to hire at a cost of £10 for our gold holiday home guests.

Camping & Touring – Check-in is from 3pm. Shower and toilet facilities will be available during your stay, opening times are displayed at the entrances. Should you need to queue to enter our showers, please be respectful to others and keep your distance. We are politely asking our guests to wipe down the shower enclosures before and after use to keep our customers safe as possible along with our enhanced cleaning schedules. Sanitiser wipes are provided.

The Granary Restaurant is operating an indoor table service and our seating is comfortably spaced. Please call 01206 381195 should you wish to book a table to avoid disappointment.

Outdoor Swimming Pool – Please pay attention to the opening hours displayed at the pool entrance. There is no requirement to queue for a swim session and the changing rooms are available to use. We ask that you wipe the changing rooms down before and after use, using the cleaning products provided in order to keep all customers safe as possible, along with our enhanced cleaning schedules. Sun loungers, tables, and chairs will be available to use. Please be aware, during busier periods, a band system will be introduced to manage the pool capacity.

Entertainment and Shows will take place on our outdoor stage (weather permitting) alternatively in The Wheatsheaf. Seating in The Courtyard is comfortably spaced and we have invested in a web-based system called YOELLO which is proving to be an extremely popular way of ordering drinks and snacks with ease, bar service is also available outside. We are operating a table service inside The Wheatsheaf.

As of today, we have opened our shared shower block facilities to operate in line with the Government Guidance for the rule of 6 or 2 households to be used at any one time. A reduced number of showers are available within each block to manage social distancing. Further information will be provided to you once you have made your holiday booking, pre-arrival. Thank you in advance for your understanding and co-operation.

Camping & Touring Bookings Update

If you have already made a holiday booking with us from 17th May 2021 – 20th June 2021, please check your emails as we have written to inform our customers of the changes in relation to the important update received today following the latest Government guidelines published in relation to step 3 on the Governments Road Map detailed below, from 17th May 2021 that may affect your stay with us.

Due to the number of camping and touring pitches booked from Monday 17th May with only 2 shower blocks, we have had to make the unfortunate decision to not open our shared shower block facilities, this decision has been made ultimately to keep everyone as safe as possible as it is not feasible for us to implement a fair and safe procedure in accordance to the Government guidelines in relation to the shower facilities. Our toilet blocks will open as planned and will be available for you to use throughout your stay and washing up areas are open with social distancing rules in place.

If you still wish to visit our park for your touring or camping break then you are more than welcome to continue with your stay, there is no need to contact us, all of our other park facilities will be open and we are ready to make you feel as welcome and as safe as possible. Please keep a look out for your pre-arrival email detailing further information in relation to your stay with us.

Following the Governments Road Map on easing out of the lockdown, this is what it means to us here at Waldegraves Holiday Park:

STAGE 2: 12/04/2021 No Earlier

  • Waldegraves Holiday Park opens for Self-contained holiday accommodation in which all facilities (including for sleeping, catering, bathing, and indoor lobbies and corridors for entry and exit) are restricted to exclusive use of a single household/support bubble (individual households only). With this is mind, we are accepting new holiday bookings to stay in our Gold & Platinum Holiday Homes as individual households only. We look forward to welcoming our Holiday Home Owners & Seasonal Tourer’s to start the 2021 season.

On Park Facilities open:

  • Reception And Holiday Home Sales
  • The Wheatgrain Shop
  • Laundry
  • The Granary Restaurant – Takeaway and outdoor table Service only (Table service with the rule of 6 to a table)
  • All Golf Facilities
  • Fishing Lakes
  • The Wheatsheaf Courtyard outdoor area (Table service with the rule of 6 to a table) No Entertainment.
  • Swimming Pool for individual households. At present, we are hoping to open the pool from Friday 30th April weather permitting. Booking will be essential due to current guidelines.

STAGE 3: 17/05/2021 No Earlier

  • Holidays for two households and non Self-contained holiday accommodation will be allowed. With this in mind, we are accepting new holiday bookings for camping and touring as our shared wash facilities will open
  • The Wheatsheaf & Sports Bar will open for indoor use with restrictions in line with the government guidelines (Table service with the rule of 6 to a table)
  • Entertainment & Shows will begin outside with restrictions in line with the government guidelines
  • The Granary Restaurant will open for indoor service with restrictions in line with the government guidelines (Table service with the rule of 6 to a table)
  • Washrooms, showers, toilets
  • The Arcade will re-open with restrictions in line with the government guidelines

STAGE 4: 21/06/2021 No Earlier

If all goes to plan, you will be able to dance again for the live entertainment and get service from the bar (Subject to review).

Our road map is subject to Government clarification and guidelines. Social distancing measures will be required when using our facilities

Following yesterday’s Government announcement, we will provide more details to all of our customers over the coming days as and when we get them.

We are experiencing high volume of phone calls, please email holidays@waldegraves.co.uk with any queries, we will aim to respond to you as soon as we can.

To make a new holiday booking, please continue to do so online where possible. For anyone with existing confirmed bookings up until the 11th April 2021, please email us at holidays@waldegraves.co.uk providing us with your Name and Booking ID stating your preferred option of a change of dates, a credit note valid for 12 months, or a refund. We are working through bookings in start date order at present and will get back to you in due course.

Due to the latest Government announcement, unfortunately, all Waldegraves facilities will be closed from Boxing Day until further notice to us now falling into the Tier 4 category, this includes golf and fishing.
