An update from the Management with respect to the COVID-19 coronavirus
24th March 2020
Further to our previous statement, as you may already be aware according to Government guidelines, we have been instructed to close our Park. We have taken the unprecedented precaution of closing Waldegraves Family Holiday Park for the foreseeable future for the safety and security of our customers, staff, and suppliers.
At present, we have a limited number of staff on site for security and to look after the grounds. Therefore, we have contacted all customers who have bookings starting before 19th April 2020 as a priority to offer a holiday postponement by transferring dates to either later this season, or if preferable, next year’s holiday season.
Please email any enquiries or contact us by emailing email@example.com
Please do not attempt to contact our team if your booking starts after 19th April at this time, we are currently happy for you to keep your holiday booking in place and make a decision nearer the time.
We ask all our customers to be please bear with us during this difficult time, we will be respond to any queries or holiday booking amendment requests as soon as possible.
Please keep safe.
Government guidance and advice to avoid non-essential travel in the UK.
23rd March 2020
These are unprecedented times. We all have a responsibility to consider not just ourselves but to the people of our country, the local community and on this Park.
We are having to make decisions and take actions which were unimaginable a few weeks ago.
We are closing with an immediate effect on all facilities on the Park.
Thank goodness for the announcements of support which have come from Government which should help us to be ready to resume business just as soon as the crisis passes; we will be making effort to ensure our staff are looked after during this period.
We are speaking to all holiday hire and touring bookings to ask them to stay away and to offer alternative dates when the crisis is over.
We ask private owners on the Park not to stay in your holiday caravan at this time and to be sensitive towards the views and needs of the local community and NHS. We are expecting the Government to give us more guidance very shortly. We expect a clear message that holiday and touring parks must not stay open for business as usual. We hope there will also be some guidance about those using holiday caravans as their home.
The time for you to leave in a safe and orderly way is limited.
Over the last 24 hours, there has been an increasing and understandable concern in local communities towards the owners of second homes and caravans, as well as holiday visitors. The government’s clear guidance is that there must be no unnecessary or non-essential travel.
We ask private owners who are not on the Park not to come here, and if you are on the Park, please go home. We are following the Government’s guidance so closing to protect you and wider society.
Essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. People should remain in their primary residence.
We urge you to co-operate at this difficult time, please.
