The Granary Bar & Restaurant

The Granary offers a superb selection of Hot and Cold meals taking advantage of  the masses of quality fresh produce local to Mersea Island. Eat in the superb comfort of the Restaurant or on the decking overlooking the Swimming Pool.

The Granary has a fully licensed bar with a great selection of draught & bottled beers, soft drinks for adults & children & fine wines from around the world. 

The menu selections include Handmade Pies, Steaks, superb fresh Fish & Chips,  Aberdeen Angus Burgers & a Vegetarian selection.

Children are well looked after with their own menu plus a selection from the main menu in smaller portions.

• Wednesday is Midweek Roast Day, Selection of meats and vegetables in a giant yorkshire pudding for just £5.99, and our Homecooked Traditional Sunday Roasts for just £8.95 for adults and £4.95 for children ( 3 choices of meat, booking advisable) is renowned both locally & with Waldegraves residents.

The Wheatgrain & Caravan Accessories Shop 

Priding itself particularly on fresh produce, the Wheatgrain Shop bakes its own fresh bread every morning - just in time for breakfast! Stocks of other local produce are also available together with a large range of foodstuffs, childrens play toys and souvenir gifts. A wide selection of fishing tackle for both freshwater and sea fishing along with camping accessories and bottled gas are also stocked. 

The Barn & Wheatsheaf

The Barn & Wheatsheaf are open every day during peak season for all to enjoy. Open until late, The Barn is friendly and relaxing, the perfect place to enjoy a quiet drink inside or out in the courtyard. The Wheatsheaf offers family entertainment in the evenings.(see entertaiments programe for details.)

Saturday promises to be a great night out with live cabaret on selected dates throughout the season! Bring the children along to meet Sammy the Seagull for party time.  Click on what's on, when for details on the entertainment we have to offer!

The Wheatsheaf has pool tables and a seating area overlooking The Barn. At the side of The Wheatsheaf there is a family games room with a large range of all your favourite arcade games

Entertainment for Young & Old

To ensure that guests become included in the Waldegraves experience and strike up new friendships, we have an entertainment team who's job is to tell all our guests what's going on and where. We have kids and adult Karaoke, talent shows, games, adventure trails amongst numerous other activities for the whole family!

Sammy the Seagull

Sammy is Waldegraves' very own character who is here to help to keep your little ones out of mischief during your stay. You will see him around during daytime and at party times in the evening!
