Waldegraves, voted the Best Holiday Park in Essex two years running is a fun, vibrant, action-packed park with activities for all and a fabulous entertainement programme, details of which can be found on our entertainements page.
We have pitches for Tents, Touring Caravansa and Motorhomes as well as Luxury Caravan Holiday Homes for hire and sale. Wheelchair Friendly Homes are available as well as pet friendly options.
Waldegraves park is family owned with private beaches and facilities for launching your boats. We are dog friendly with plenty of designated exercise space for your pets.
Both parks have well stocked shops with instore bakeries, off-licence sales and souvenirs to take home. They also have well equipped laundries and are wheelchair accessible.

Here at Waldegraves & Cosways Family Holiday Parks, Mersea Island, Essex we have 24 high quality static caravan holiday homes for hire. Each holiday home is fully equipped for self catering accommodation with 6 berth & 3 bedrooms. Each holiday home contains a shower, toilet, hot & cold running water, heaters in all bedrooms & bathrooms, lounge gas fires, microwave, full size gas cooker, electric fridge, colour television and luxury bed linen. We also have one holiday home which is fully wheelchair accessible, this holiday home contains the same facilities as our other accommodation and sleeps up to 5 guests.

We can now arrange for you to have a choice of extras in your Luxury Holiday Home on arrival. In addition to our current selection of Champagne & Flowers, choose from 2 bottles of wine, a fruit basket, or a starter pack full of essentials to make your stay even better!!!!
FAQ
Are beds made on arrival?
The bed linen is provided but you have to make the beds up yourselves.
What time can i arrive and leave?
Arrival time is anytime after 3pm and departure is by 10am
Are there any extra charges for electric water?
No, all water, gas and electric charges are included in the price.
Are the prices per person or per unit?
The prices are per unit, which is inclusive of up to 6 people and one vehicle.
Are we allowed to pup tents by the holiday homes?
Tents are not permitted next to the holiday homes, we have a separate area for tents and tourers.
Are there any hidden costs?
We take a £50 security deposit upon arrival, which is to cover any damages made to the van. This can be paid by cash or card. When you check out, your van is checked and if there are no problems the £50 is returned to you. There is also a £10 deposit for a Barrier Pass when you arrive (per vehicle). This is refunded on your departure.
Do you have any wheelchair friendly caravans?
Yes, we have one caravan specially modified for wheelchair access.
Do you accept dogs into your caravans?
Some of our caravans are dog friendly, please mention this when booking.
Is smoking allowed?
No, all the holiday homes are non-smoking.
Is there anything extra that you hire?
We hire towels for an extra £5 per set and cots at £10 each. We can arrange a starter pack of essentials to be ready for you on arrival for your convenience for just £15. We also offer Champagne on arrival for £25.00 or 2 bottles of wine for £15, fruit basket for £15 and Flowers for £25.00 so why not surprise someone? Please advise when booking.
Do you offer a late checkout service?
Yes, you can pay for a late checkout unitl 3pm at a charge of £10 subject to availability. This cannot be booked in advance.
Do you require proof of insurance for boats and watercrafts?
Yes we do. A copy must be held in reception.
Waldegraves Holiday Park offers holiday makers of all ages, the chance to completely unwind in a safe and friendly environment. We have sports, activities and entertainment designed for all tastes, whether you are an adult, teenager, youngster, or just young at heart. These are available every day; morning, afternoon and evening. We have great facilities for camping and touring holidays in Essex.
Serviced Pitches
Serviced pitches are designed for any type of tourer, tent or motor home. The serviced pitches have their own electric hook up points and water points on each pitch. You have a choice pitches on level or slightly sloping ground and some pitches are sheltered. When booking, please notify us of the size of your tourer, tent or motor home so that we can allocate you a suitable pitch.
Shower Facilities
We have two shower and toilet blocks situated on different areas of the park. All shower facilities are free. We also have a laundry block with washing machines and driers. There is an outside clothes drying area as well.

FAQ
Do pitches have electric hook up?
Yes, all our pitches have hook ups, we do also offer pitches without electric at peak times.
Is there any additional charge for electric?
No, this is included in the pitch price.
Is gas available on site?
Yes, we stock various sizes of gas bottles in our camping shop.
What are the arrival and departure times?
Arrival for our pitches is any time after 3pm and departure is any time before 3pm.
Are the pitches sheltered?
Some pitches are sheltered, others are open.
Can we bring our own barbecues?
Yes, as long as they are not lying on the grass. Barbecues are to be disposed of in the metal bins provided. No open fires.
Do the showers cost anything?
No, the shower, toilet and washing up facilities are included in the price.
Are pup tents allowed?
Yes, a maximum of one pup tent is permitted per pitch which includes 2 children under the age of 12 years old. This only applies when you pay for one full price pitch and is charged at an additional cost.
How many people can I bring?
You can have a maximum of 6 people to your pitch. Four people are included in your pitch price.
Can I bring my commercial vehicle on the site?
Unfortunately, no. We do not allow commercial vehicles on the park.
Are motor homes allowed?
Yes, please call and we will allocate you a suitable pitch.
Do you have storage facilities for caravans?
Yes we do have a storage compound, in which caravans, boats and jetskis can be stored.
Do you require proof of insurance for boats and watercrafts?
Yes we do. A copy must be held in reception.
Are there any hidden costs?
You will be asked for a £10 deposit for a barrier card when you arrive. This will be refunded when the card is returned.
